Coleman Hughes is a writer, podcaster, and columnist specializing in race, public policy, and ethics. His work appears in outlets like The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Quillette. Coleman is preeminent in his incisive analysis of race, identity, and civil liberties.

Joining Abigail and Coleman as tonight’s interlocutor is Mia Hughes. Mia is an MLI senior fellow whose groundbreaking critical analysis of gender-affirming medical practices has brought her international recognition.  The WPATH Files exposes the insufficient evidence for treatment protocols, lack of informed consent, and significant risks associated with medical interventions for minors, including irreversible surgeries and hormone treatments.

The questions they explored couldn’t be more relevant. From the implications of Trump’s return to office, the rising tide of wokeness in our universities and governments, to the challenges of navigating a fractured media and cultural landscape, their conversation tackles some of the most pressing and contentious topics of our time.

They unpack how free speech, meritocracy, and neutrality can be reclaimed by the new administration in the face of entrenched bureaucratic, academic, and media opposition. They’ll also explore the scourge of gender ideology, the toxicity of racialist and identitarian politics, and the pivotal role of a healthy intellectual counter-culture in fostering a civil and informed society.
